A Busy Day and Weekend Ahead

Whoohoo it's Friday and the weekend is starting. I am one of those people who always gets excited when a weekend rolls around even though I'm retired. I guess there's just something inside from the good old working days that makes the weekend worth smiling about.
Today my oldest granddaughter is graduating from high school. I don't think I have to say how proud I am of her.
Today is also my son in laws birthday and on Monday is my youngest granddaughters birthday.
Tomorrow is the big graduation party and on Sunday a small birthday combo party for my son in law and my granddaughter (father and daughter).
As you can see my weekend will be busy but filled with happy things.

I don't get excited over a weekend - too many people on the road, in stores, etc. Seems so late for graduation - they had graduation down here a month ago. Sounds like you will be busy!!!

My granddaughter is in New York and they are in school until the end of June. Our schools here were done a month ago also

Spending time with hubby and the kids is great. Kids grow too fast these days and before you know it they're grown up. You probably hear it a million times...enjoy them when they're young!

@Marilynda1225 Yes, I do hear it a lot, but I am realizing more and more how true it is. We have to enjoy it as much as we can, while we can.

I think that given the fact that we look forward to weekends while we are students as well as during our working years, it only makes sense that Fridays are always a good day, even after you retire. I hope that they will be for me!
This is our last weekend in this house, we will move next weekend.
We don't have any great plans, just really relaxing so that we are ready for the events of next week.
This being our second move in just a short time, we're pretty organized and unstressed about it all.
Nice to hear of the celebrations going on in your life.

@Marilynda1225 I remember being super busy when our son was young. Saturdays were the busiest, we would have music lessons and sometimes swimming lessons, both in the mornings. And then all of the usual stuff, I don't miss those days of rushing here and there.

I hope you have many wonderful years in the new place. At least this time it isn't as stressful.
I'm sure you'll look forward to weekends too when you're retired but it's different than when you have to cram everything into a weekend when you work.

I haven't done a hook rug in many years. They were so much fun.

@Marilynda1225 ok I will, but I messed up a little bit on it. It was calling for dark brown and I thought I had the right color of yarn, but realized it wasn't dark brown.
