the word of the day

Friday is Toddler Niece Day.
I love Friday.
Today we found pinecones and snail-less shells. We blew bubbles and gave Panda his milk. We picked flowers {weeds} and made bouquets. We counted buses and hopped {little bunny} in the street. We spent time with Peppa Pig and used Unicorn as a ball, much to his annoyance.
And we said the word but a lot. A very lot. A very very VERY lot. We haven't quite learnt that the word but is usually a prelude to a contrasting phrase or clause. Indeed, we haven't even learnt that it should probably be said after something else rather than just randomly thrown into the mix.
But, it was still a joyful day.
And tomorrow I get to see her again. Hurray for babysitting duties!

Thank you. I had a lovely weekend, and am now thoroughly exhausted just in time for the working week. ;)

I'm not sure that I have an overused word of my own. It could very well depend upon who I'm with!

@poppylicious Maybe if she's saying but in a non-standard context you have misunderstood her and she is actually saying butt.

It did cross my mind. If she'd been randomly throwing the word big in as well I would have simply assumed that she was talking about me. :)
