I am so excited. So my boyfriend and I were talking and he asked me if I could get back into transcription, would I do it? And I said yes. And that actually helped me look for more transcription companies and I found one! I applied, did the test to qualify and thus I began work! I love this because I can not only transcribe, but also review and grade transcriptions. I love it! So I guess I have a little job now. Doesn't pay much but it is amazing!

Do you do the job online at home of do you travel to the business to do the work?

@DesirousDreamer I am going to look into it. Did you have to take any kind of course or have any kind of special education to do it?

@LeaPea2417 I haven't had to. if you want to do closed captioning then you need special education.

Oh how fun Felicia..I have often thought of doing so as well. Do you have to have any special equipment to transcribe, how does it work?

some places require a foot peddle. this place doesn't. You basically just listen to recordings and type away. You have a style guide to help you and you can be a grader and later on an editor. It is pretty cool

The one I was on had very biased graders, this place is pretty amazing. I love being a grader and not an actual scribe haha

Yes, better than nothing sweetie. I started working as a saleslady at my aunt's souvenir shop when I was 16. I don't receive a fixed salary coz I've been working part time and sometimes I just stay there for 2-3 hours in a day. Not bad for a starter like me, and I enjoyed it as well.

@DesirousDreamer Absolutely sweetie, it is better than nothing. And, I can say that you are better than other people who doesnt work and dependent to others.

@jaiho2009 I do not like depending on people, unfortunately I am in that case where I have to, and I am not a fan of doing that.

Congratulations! That's a nice opportunity, and if you can do it, why not! Right, it doesn't provide a huge income, but the freedom that comes with it is priceless.
