An interesting case

That young lady (20ish) came to the city from a poor country town. After a year boarding at an acquaintance's place, (a mid 50ish high school teacher, his cheerful artist wife and his grown up children), a series of events happened:
- The artist wife of that teacher happily moved out to be with her long-time lover, thanking that young lady for making her husband a happier man.
- The grown up children of that teacher shrugged their shoulders, awaiting for their father to become a father again.
- the young lady and the jaded teacher lived happily forever after. Yes, she was the one who got pregnant.
What do you think of that? I know we should mind our own business, and let people mind theirs, but I have kept thinking about that case, wondering if that young lady would ever regret her decision in settling down with a man who was 30+ years older than her, out of gratitude. (I heard back then that she was determined to marry the man the moment his divorce was through.)
It must be about 4 decades ago....

It is fascinating and yes, I wonder did they live happily after?

@SIMPLYD yeah, sounds like that. But that bugged me. How could a middle aged couple keep staying with each other that long while the wife having a boyfriend, and sort of encourage a young girl to 'go on' with her husband, then thanked her nicely for making her husband happy. Can you understand that?

It is possible they will live happily until his demise. Then hopefully he has a big insurance she can cash in. Then she can remarry and live happily ever after again. Or perhaps he will not marry her and she will move on.

whoa, I didn't think of that aspect! You are good! (I suddenly remember the 3rd wife of Charles Bronson. This young wife of his gathered quite a bit when he passed away after their short marriage.)

heheheh, no, I heard of the case only, and was curious. I saw her in passing however when visiting that boarding house for girls (she visited someone else at the same place at the time). Since she was avoiding many others, I figured out that she had no intention to talk to strangers like me.

@josie_ OMG I read one a couple of months ago and was a bit shocked... Too late for me to earn easy money that way . (I read a few cases, nurses or law students doing their studies, joined that site, paying a few hundred dollars a year for the annual membership, but got some gifts of a few thousand dollars - no string attached- from some rich and young daddies who wanted to sponsor them. So cool! )

Well did they live happily ever after? It sounds like his marriage wasn't happy and then both he and his wife were happy so I guess sometimes May /Dec works.
