Mine are pretty much limited to seasonal allergies to pollen and my hands. I can't touch the following without breaking out in a itchy rash with little blisters:(may be more) Bleach, or any cleanser that contains bleach Windex (ammonia) Peeling potatoes (juice from potatoes) Tomatoes (juice from slicing) Most dish washing soaps. Only can use Ajax or Palmolive Oven cleaner--cannot even think of going near it Cash register receipt tape (was awful when i was a cashier years ago) Latex gloves-hands burn and swell Rings- any type of metal I'm sure there's more, but can't recall right now.

I used to have lots when I was younger, but I've been tested and the only thing I am allergic to is grass - so I don't mow. When I was younger Peeling potatoes drove me crazy! Itchy and uncomfortable

I've had this as long as i can remember. Did it just go away on it's own?

@Debscrochet It did. I thought i was allergic to potatoes (the itichy touch) and before I had my surgery for my knee 7 years ago the surgeon thought I was allergic to latex so the whole surgery had to be done differently. That was a big deal to the surgeon and group who fixed my knee. He asked me to see a specialist and find out if I really am allergic to latex and the doctor doing the testing said since we are looking for one lets look for all and he asked we to list everything that i thought I was allergic too. He tested me for a lot of things, one being Rye (Bread) that sent me to the hospital more than once in my lifetime and the results showed my only actual allergy is grass... Go figure I was in anaphylactic shock at least three times and could no breathe after eating rye bread but not any more...I still stay away from Rye because I don't want that to happen ever again...

Wow! That's a long list - and pretty awful for you. I'm allergic to one thing, and it's Cipro, which is found in many antibiotics.

@Debscrochet I had one minor ear infection and it was awfully painful. Ouch! I broke out with hundreds of ulcers in my mouth and tongue and both lips swelled to six times their normal size. I can never ever have cipro again. It builds upon itself. I wanted to go to the hospital, but my husband kept telling me to give it one more day. It took 10 long days to go away.

Just read a few things about being allergic to cash register receipt tapes:
Cash-register receipts are an overlooked source of endocrine disrupting chemical bisphenol-A (BPA) -- think twice before handling any receipt.

Having sensitive hands has got to be frustrating. Wearing gloves all the time is a bother.

It really is a pain. Can't wear the gloves and peel potatoes, and even if, they can't be latex.

@Debscrochet I never thought about that, but you're right. That would really frustrate me. I love potatoes.

Perhaps you can use the gloves when you peel them. I often wear gloves when I peel the vegetables and wash the dishes. I don't find it inconvenient. In fact wearing gloves to peel the vegetables will reduce the possibility for me to cut my fingers.

I tried, but just the opposite. I couldn't handle the knife very well.

@Debscrochet , I am allergic to grass, pollen, cats and certain foods and also have to be careful with which soap I use. I use a antihistamine that helps combat the grass and pollen allergies, do you take anything?
