This is such an underrated movie and it is a must watch. It is a horror movie where the main character is not a dumb damsel in distress who will suddenly survive for some dumb luck. The premise is simple, An Australian woman goes with her American boyfriend to attend the wedding anniversary of her boyfriend's parents. There she met her boyfriend's family. It sounds like a nice and sweet family reunion until 3 armed men wearing masks attacks the family members and kills them one by one. The Australian woman is raised in the outback by her survivalist, doom's day preppers parents so she have the skills to fight for her life. To see a horror movie main character who is not dumb as rocks is really fascinating. Do you guys know any horror movie where the main character is not dumb?

The movie is not really the scariest horror out there but it is intelligently written.

I love the fact she fights back. Horror movies needs more characters like this instead of people who just scream and die.

@jaiho2009 Another Horror movie with Smart characters I remember is "the descent". It is British horror movie with an all female cast. One of the main actresses is Pinay. The characters of that movie rather die fighting than just scream and die while hoping for Prince charming to rescue her.

The horror characters are usually smart, the people playing the victims not so much See Nightmare On Elm Street, Silence of The Lambs and Scary Movie to name a few.

I have seen this. The Australian girl Shari Vinson also starred in the Patrick remake.

Her next movie project seemed to be a superhero flick. I wonder if the character's outback survival skills is considered a stereotype. Youtube have a lot of Survivalist channels in Australia like Andrew Uncles.

I love scary movies, but didn't like this one at all. It wasn't really that scary, just a lot of senseless violence. And when it revealed the killers, I was completely depressed. I don't want to give it away, in case some have not seen it, but that just made it worse for me. I do like the fact that the girl, in the end, was tough and was not gonna go down without a fight.
