I still do recall my first casette tape album---it was the "The Best Of John Denver". Among my favorite song in the album is "Country Road Take Me Home". I bought this album from my first pay in my first job as office staff. How about you do you still recall your first casette tape album?

Sure do. It was 1972, I purchased Grand Funk 'Phoenix' at Whitaker's Stereo Shop to listen to on the new cassette deck I had got the day before for my stereo system.

@mandala100 I know. I can remember it was one of those big 8-track tapes we listened to in the car. Croce sure was a talent.

I was into buying records. I figured i could just make copies with the tape recorder-LOL. Remember holding the tape recorder by the radio waiting to hear your favorite song come on the top 20 countdown?. Anyway i think my first tape was Rod Stewart.

I was more of a vinyl person (first LP: Best of Jim Reeves, Vol. II, 1966). However, when I got out of boot camp I had to have music, so I bought a cheap cassette player and some cassettes. First up: Late For the Sky by Jackson Browne. That was also my first 8-track purchase. Not my first CD, though....

If I remember correctly.... That would be Simple Plan "No pads, no helmets, just balls" and Green Day "Shenanigans". Or is it Westlife? Oh, I don't remember which one first lol.

The first cassette tape album that I bought from my hard earned saved money was the first album of Backstreet Boys. Too bad I wasn't able to save it. I bet it'll be a memorabilia today

There was a long stretch where we didn't buy any music. We went from albums to CD's. We were too busy raising kids when cassettes were popular.
