Ping Pong is one of the most popular sports in China. And our ping pong team is very strong. A shocking news I learned today is that Chinese ping pong players quit an international tournament. The reason is Liu Guo Liang is no longer the head coach for Chinese Ping Pong team. Then some coaches and players didn't like this kind of change. Liu was a very famous Ping Pong player and the world champion in the past. Then he was a coach and he led the Chinese Ping Pong team. Now the Ping Pong players chose to quit to support their coach. I must say that this is quite an unusual behavior because we are taught to accept to the leaders. Liu means a lot in the Ping Pong field and it is not reasonable to let another nobody to lead this team. I appreciate to their protest although it also gambles their future.

@LadyDuck There is a famous old Ping Pong player from Sweden and his name is Jan-Ove Waldner. He is a great player. He had been a strong component to Chinese Ping Pong players for several generations already. I think Liu was also one of his component in the past, but later Liu became to a coach and Jan-Ove was still a Ping Pong player. Jan-Ove is famous for Chinese and many Ping Pong audiences like him. He is a legend. I hope he can coach more good Ping Pong players, too.

Yes, this is quite a serious case. The leaders must be quite angry to it. But if the situation is not that worse, I think they will not protest in this way. And I can see many Chinese support them.

@TiarasOceanView I think the leaders must do something very badly so that there will be such a result.

So much unrest and horror going on all over the world. Some times people just act in the moment and don''t think about the future.
