Movie Review - Cry Wilderness

1987 - Spoiler alerts Another appalling B-Movie film that richly deserved its 2017 Mystery Science Theatre treatment. Plot-wise, a boy of about ten has a vision of Bigfoot who warns him to head for the US/Canadian border wilderness to save his dad from some unspecified danger. The boy runs away alone, hitching lifts across America from unquestioning truckers and somehow finds his dad just by wandering round randomly in the woods. The father is in the company of an ever-grinning Native American who happily wrestles bears and talks to the animals. Everyone laughs at everything, including inanimate everyday objects and guns are pointed at everyone and everything with great unprofessional-ism, There is also a Texas Ranger who wants ti kill Bigfoot, for which the forest critters blind him and leave him for dead (unremarked on at all by the surviving characters). The climate and lighting change frequently, often in mid-shot, a tiger is inexplicably loose in the US wilderness caves and Bigfoot is a guy in half-a Bigfoot costume. The film suggests the boy has met Bigfoot before though it is not a sequel to anything. The whole mess makes no sense whatsoever. Arthur Chappell

Sounds like a waste of time. I don't like to hear of people trying to kill Bigfoot.

Somehow this sounds somewhat familiar to me Arthur...I remember watching a really low budget film like this.
