It is not often that I review a book and usually never right after I finish reading it. This book took almost a month for me to finish, but not because it's a long book. At three hours, it is a little longer than more of the most recent books I've read. It is intended to be frightening, but I didn't find it scary in the least. It is more of a "jump scare" type book, but all jump scares are told from the perspective of the person it's happening to. There is some elements that may not be suitable for the more sensitive reader, but these segments don't go into major detail. I also found errors throughout the book, mostly missing words or wrong words used. It did need a bit more editing, but it didn't distract me too terribly much, and it shouldn't you either. I'd classify this as the Horror Genre and would rate it as maybe a 7 or 8 on a scale of 10. I read it on my kindle with my kindle unlimited subscription. Do you have any horror novels to suggest?

The House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. Not totally a horror novel, but a big mind you know what.

That sounds like a book I would read then. I will have to put it on my TBR.

I hate that they closed! Lack of funding? We have several libraries here and luckily they are still going strong.
