Don't look at Me from Google

I don't know if I have to share this with you guys but I've been experiencing this for 2 decades now. YES, I can still remember when it started. I really don't have an idea if what I'm experiencing is normal, a mental illness or anxiety. Are you sometimes having a hard time looking at people straight to their eyes when they're talking or when you're having a conversation with them? Because It's really hard for me to look at people's eyes, especially when I'm having a casual talk with my friends. What happens to me is that I tend to look at their eyes (occasionally), and not actually comprehending what they're all saying. I end up looking and questioning myself "did he/she figure out that I'm really not listening to him/her, and I'm just staring blankly at them? That kind of feeling sometimes sticks to me for a long time and contemplate whether that person that I just chatted with will still speak to me after our convo or not. I accidentally developed that kind of weird characteristic (anxiety should I say...) because it feels like If I will look and speak to a person at the same time (especially if it's a 1 on 1 conversation) I won't be able to understand what they're saying. I hope someone here can help me. Hoping to get good responses from you. TIA

I don't look at anyone in the eyes. I do look at the person when I'm speaking with them, but not the eyes. Maybe if you direct your gaze at them and not the eyes per se, it might help.

So much I can relate to your question... because I am like you? I don't know if it's lack of confidence, just to shy, or just too nervous at everything, or maybe it's about my breath. You see, my work requires a lot of interviews and oftentimes you should look straight to the eyes of interviewee but ending looking sideward or anything in the scene. Maybe we don't just have to always looking straight in their eyes. Occasionally, maybe yes we can.

Exactly, no need, You can just Occasionally look/stare at your interviewees. But you know, for other people, veering away from their eyes also means not really interested in what they're saying. So, I'm really torn between
