End of June morning

I mine the bushes for ripe raspberries
birds down in the BLM canal chastising my efforts
Migraine's lace on me continues to drape
spidering, webbing, clutching.
Doc's visit a larger web, perhaps a wasp's nest,
me driven to home,
wondering at muscle relaxers for my neck
measuring the gait, the span
will those capsules encapsulate and drag down
on what already falters
all this as I reach for morning fruit
birds below me chattering their avian gossip.

Thank you @TiarasOceanView Its migraine with constant vertigo. Leaves me feeling weak and wonkers though my blood pressure came out good. I just have to walk through a veil constantly.

@sallypup Yes I am fortunate never to have had migraine. My Mom suffered for years with them and my son gets them.

@TiarasOceanView This migraine bit is hitting more often. Its not the pain but the exhaustion and the weakness and the wondering if I am seeing correctly. I think I am also dealing with vertigo. I feel for your son.

That's one thing I haven't had yet this year. Raspberries. I would wonder what the birds have to gossip about.

@sallypup .....Grams used to have raspberries, black berries and black caps. She had currants too which were yummy.

@celticeagle I've wondered what the birds are saying, too. I did not think we would get raspberries for another 3 weeks but they are coming on now.

Migraines may be less frequent and less severe with these self-care strategies.

@The Horse. Thanks and good to hear from you. I love discovering that we have a bit of a harvest happening. Just tickles me. You should have seen me trying not to squash plants as I dug under leaves, looking for ripe strawberries. I've not attempted to contain plants so I have a green jungle in with the berry patch. Makes for an interesting time.
