Buried Treasure

It is thought that beneath the surface of the ocean is a lot of wealth in the form of buried treasure. Supposedly rotting on the ocean floor are at least a million ships and the unrecovered buried treasure could net someone as much as around $60 billion. The reason that there are no stories about people attempting to get a piece of this treasure is that government and perhaps some private parties can stake a legal claim to the buried treasure. So whoever would bring up any treasure might just likely have it taken from them and perhaps even slapped with a heavy fine. Isn’t that just the way it always is with someone spoiling all the fun for someone else?

Or they could sell it unseen if they were clever.

But others are greedy too and just seeing someone trying to sell old gold coins or something like that might make other curious where they got them @TiarasOceanView. If only it were easy to get just one chest of treasure no more just one. SIGH

It is never as free wheeling as the stories of treasure make it sound. I have heard of people having their finds taken once they are publicized. I guess if one knew of a treasure they would be better off taking a coin or two here and there.

Pocket some of the money and none the wiser @GardenGerty however depending on what kind of money it is it might be difficult to sell and might draw attention with someone trying to sell gold coins or something like that.

You are certainly right to a certain extent @RasmaSandra That;s what often happens when you try to be honest and do something worthwhile. Life's outcome can be harsh and unpredictable. Thank You for making this point.

Some government is waiting to swoop in and seize any found treasure. That includes if you find something washed up on the beach.
