Today has been a weird day. I did a lot of deep cleaning and then mowed most of the backyard. Because of that I hadn't really planned the sides for ddinner so tonight is a little thrown together and kind of a lazy dinner. We are having homemade parmesean chicken fingers (not so lazy) , Idahoan instant potatoes(lazy) and a Dole Bacon and Bleu salad(also lazy). Anyway. Here is the breakdown. -One pound chicken $3.75 -Parmesean breading $1.25 -Two bags fully loaded Idahoan instant potatoes $2.00 -Dole Salad $2.50 -Butter and additional seasonings $0.50 Total for tonight's dinner for two is $10.00 That's what is going on here, what are you having?

5 bucks? Getting pretty expensive to dine at your place.

Ham and cheese is usually lunch around here unless we have tomato soup and I grill them.

Pork rib strips from the freezer. Baked potatoes. Asparagus from the garden. Cucumber slices. Pretty inexpensive.

I'm having linguine with garlic cloves, crushed tomatoes, and fresh basil. It would fit into your frugal meal category.

@thislittlepennyearns No. I don't need it every night. I can get away with it when my husband isn't around.

My lazy meal: turkey meat patties- 1.50 for a 1 lb tube, and frozen French fries 1.68 a bag at Walmart right now. That bag can be divided into two meals.
