I just finished reading Book 7 of Jeffrey Archer's The Clifton Chronicles series. It was a good series. Some of the books were better than others, but it definitely kept me interested and turning the pages throughout it all. I was given the first 5 books, borrowed the 6th from the library, and wound up buying the 7th just so I could finish the story up in a timely manner. Some of the things that the author did I didn't necessarily agree with and, like I said, some of the books were better than others, but it is still an interesting series if you are looking for some books to take to the beach this summer.

I described it a bit below. It is a good series if you can borrow it for free from the library. I wouldn't suggest buying the books at full price.

It centers around the Clifton and Barrington families in England starting in the 1920s and going through to the 1990s. Harry Clifton is where it starts, struggling family, gets a choral scholarship to a good school despite being from a very poor background and meets up with the son from a wealthy family. It all sounded terribly boring to me despite the fact that my sister recommended the first 2 books to me. I waited 2 months before bringing the first one with me on my spring break vacation to read. I tore through it in 2 days and kicked myself for not bringing the second book. It's not Harry Potter or the Divergent series, but I enjoyed reading it.

I read some Jeffrey Archer novels a long time ago. Cain and Abel.
