Watching intimate scenes in front of parents or family?

Normally I watch Hollywwod movies during night time, or at times when others are not there. Yet sometimes if I like to watch some genre of movie and its at a time when others are around, and I am very keen to watch it, I do it. Now, sometimes, and especially with some James Bond movies(especially the ones starring Roger Moore or Sean Connery), it so happened that there was a hug or kiss scene. I was with my parents, and sometimes it was kind of uncomfortable. Sometimes, I changed the channel. Yet it was not always possible. Sometimes, one also has to be careful while watching such movies in front of kids. Has such a thing happened to you? Did your parents had any conversation to you? Were they annoyed or understanding? What do you do if you have kids around?

I do not consider the James Bond movies inappropriate, most of the movies have scenes like this in our days. There are movies that I would never watch if kids are present.

Nowadays most movies have those kind of intimate scenes unfortunately and we have them in some cartoons too. It is embarrassing to watch such a movie when you have your parents or kids around. The best thing will be to choose a family movie

It can be a little uncomfortable when you have your children or other family members around . But after watching Game of Thrones along with my family I don't feel embarrassed watching any kind of intimate scenes in films, neither do they ..

@kiran8 It also depends on your fellow family members' thoughts, their age etc.

@prashu228 I also try to avoid such things but it is tough when such a thing abruptly comes up in a movie or Program when you are not expecting it.

Sometimes, it is not possible to change then I hope the scene to pass as quickly as possible.

@franxav with family members around, may be its best at times to forego our interests and not watch such movies altogether.

We do not have parents or small kids here.Of course my grand kids do come here for short visits.I avoid watching such hollywood movies in their presence. Most kids in India are not used to seeing couples kissing in public. But then kid's movies and cartoons do have kissing scens in them these days.

Yes @silvermist but sometimes a few movies are ok otherwise but suddenly a kiss scene comes up. Its not always possible to reach for the remote and change.
