This is a picture of the big garbage bin in front of our dormitory building. It is carried away several times a day. then, where is it going? in the end ,being fired or buried?

I don't think we handle the garbage well. Actually we just waste so much and don't try to recycle them. I think most of the trash will be fried and buried.

They would segregate the recyclables like plastic, paper, aluminum cans etc..and sell to a junk shop, the rest would probably end up in a land fill or incinerator if it's still allowed in your place. Welcome to Mylot

How can you expect a myLot member to answer this question? Go to the city hall of Hangzhou and ask there. They are the ones to answer your question. How does it help you if I tell you that in our town the garbage is burnt and used to heat houses? It doesn't help you at all. In other towns, the garbage is thrown somewhere into the landscape.

Normally it is incinerated. Good that you have an efficient system - siva

@bunnyjun There is no pollution in waste to energy incineration plants though they are expensive - siva

being incinerated though causing heavy pollution sounds better than being buried cost the environment unknowingly----it is hair-raising.

My best guess is that it is recycled in some form.

It's dumped in some place, far from the city here. They may even burn some
