Some mornings he just ain't got time to wait around for me. I guess he knows I'll catch up, but if he didn't decide to stop, I don't know if I could keep up or not...brat. At least he always goes to the one place first...
Some mornings the boy is in a real hurry...

Good doggy! Yes, he made sure the area was safe before letting you in. You're the one who has to wear the leash, not Scar, I told you.

Someone has to go out and inspect the yard! And it certainly wasn't going to be you.

Cat on a mission! I guess it is just best to let him go at his own pace or you'd surely be winded from trying to catch him.

Are you able to walk your cat and if so how do you walk the cat? I cannot see the picture well. I tried once and my cat I had before wanted no part of that.

@JolietJake How did you train him to go out on a lead? I tried that once with my cat I had before and she wanted nothing to do with it.

@Hannihar He trusts me. He was an indoor kitten, and when I decided to let him out I sat on the front porch with him on the lead talking to him while he checked everything out.

@JolietJake That is very clever. My cat before was an outdoor cat and would come home, but, she still would not let me take her out for a walk. She did trust me. When at times I wanted to take her picture with something on her head or in her mouth, I explained that if she would let me take her picture afterwards she cut toss it out her mouth or off her head. I understand if you explain or talk to them they will understand. I had a very good relationship with my cat.
