Tasting Oreo Peeps cookies

Yes, you read correctly: Oreo Peeps. You know Peeps. Those sugar marshmallow things popular at Easter and Halloween. Some people love ‘em. They are junk healthwise. This is another Oreo limited edition and boasts marshmallow Peeps flavor creme. The cookie part is standard plain vanilla. The pink filling is so sweet tasting that I cannot detect any particular marshmallow taste. A unique aspect is the addition of sugar crystals giving a crunch to the creme filling. These Oreos are okay enough but nothing to write home about. My preference remains classic chocolate Oreos.

I saw these when I went to Safeway but never tried them.
They just may be too sweet for me, but no doubt I would like them anyway.
I like what Oreo has been doing lately with all these different types of cookies.

Not going to lie, I wasn't a fan of the filling in those. Even my 7-year-old wasn't thrilled with them... and that's saying something, because the kid loves her Oreos. We both preferred the chocolate strawberry variety... although I'm convinced that all the premium flavors they're coming out with are just an excuse to sell us smaller packages for the same amount of money.

@JohnRoberts Yeah, all of the special flavors seem to come in packages that are a bit smaller than the "normal" ones. Of course they all cost the same amount...

I have heard about these but have never worked up the courage to buy them.
My favorite oreos are either the fudge covered ones or the peanut butter.

I am weeping with envy right now @JohnRoberts , because I love cookies and I have only ever had classic chocolate Oreos, and I am not sure we'll get these limited editions here by us.
