One of my favorite movies / myLot

The movie "Walk The Line" starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon is in the top 10 of my favorite movies. It is the biographical drama about the legendary singer Johnny Cash and his wife June Carter Cash. I have always been a fan of Johnny Cash and the actors did such a good job in their portrayal of the singers. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon both got nominated for best actor and actress for the 78th Academy Awards. Reese Witherspoon won the best actress award that year. Have you seen the movie? Yes, the actors really did sing the songs. They did a good job doing that.

No, never saw it. Don't really care for the liberties Hollywood takes in biopics. Love Johnny, though.

Yes I did see it and want to see it once again. Both of them did so well in that film..she and he were magnificent. I LOVE it too.

I have seen the movie. It was definitely a great film! I, too, am a big fan of Johnny Cash. Interestingly, I met Joaquin once and didn't even realize it until later. His family is from the small town of Micanopy, right outside of Gainesville where I live. His brother River Phoenix played in a band called Aleca's Attic, and they used to play all the time in dive bars in Gainesville. I loved their music, and would always go to see their shows (and I was lucky enough to hang out with River Phoenix several times before he got famous). Anyway, Joaquin used to come watch his brother's band play, and that's where I first met him.

@LeaPea2417 I was actually more impressed with meeting his brother than meeting with him. Because at the time, Joaquin wasn't a famous actor yet. Interestingly, his mother runs a non-profit "peace" institute here in Gainesville, and we were just working with her and her organization recently on developing some programs to offer in our city's summer camp and after-school programs.
