I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up

Last night was Writer's Guild. I got great feedback on the little bit I read that I also posted here, so there have already been some positive changes to the story. So that's a good thing.
As we were wrapping up the meeting I was reaching down to pick up my book bag and get ready to leave when the rolling chair I was sitting in shot out from under me and I landed on the floor. No I wasn't hurt, at least I didn't think so. I'm feeling a bit tender this morning with my knees. But mostly I fractured my pride and had two gentlemen help me off the floor.
I was more embarrassed than anything. I did go to the pool this morning and even my knees weren't too happy about that either from last night's fall. So I'm using my cane again to get around.
My older son came over this morning and I told him I've been thinking about having someone come and help me clean. He instantly volunteered, so he'll be coming over a couple times a week to help me clean the apartment.
So far, at least that I'm aware of anyway, no one was here to inspect the apartment. I was gone for about a half hour. I really don't mind if I'm not part of the random selection of apartments.
I'm also waiting on a phone call from my daughter, as it's laundry day today, but road construction in front of her house has the water off at the moment, so no laundry until that comes back on.
So anyway, after a bit of hit and miss this morning, I'm back here and will get to your posts as well. Time to hit the notifications and interact.
I hope you're having a good day. Thanks for reading.

You truly scared the daylights out of me with your title and fall. My heart is still pounding as I respond. I'm so glad that you didn't get injured too badly. Now I shall say a prayer for you.
How nice that your son volunteered to do the cleaning. You will save lots of money that way. Trust me! lol

I'm truly blessed he's going to help me with it. I'm sorry I scared you. I was hurting a bit yesterday, but I'm feeling a lot better at the moment. No pool this morning, but I will be back tomorrow. I'm very happy my younger son helped me with the laundry yesterday. I was blessed to be with all my children yesterday. I just wish I had taken my camera with me to my daughter's. The boat cushions turned out great. She finished with them while I was there yesterday. Next week she'll start on the patio furniture.

I think that happened to me once where they chair went out from behind me, and I fell on the floor. I am glad you did not break any bone, and hope you are getting better.

Geesh! Glad you weren't hurt. Hope you get to launder soon. I had a real good day. Had to say goodbye to my granddaughter cause she and the babies were heading up north to meet up with her boyfriend. He got them a place and so she is headed to her new home.

@just4him .....Glad the pain is gone now. Yes, I am relieved they found this new place. Boise is getting expensive for housing.

When I am very glad that the only thing hurt in your fall was your pride, though that is a wound that hurts almost as much !!

It sometimes takes a couple of days for an injury to show. Take it easy lady. So glad for you that your son volunteered to clean for you.

@just4him The damp weather is really causing my joints to ache. I have to take ibuprofen more often to help with the inflammation.

I hope it's not serious @just4him ...
I remember the last time you said it was just a bruise but found out later that you broke a rib.
