We Double-Booked!

It's the classic case of common friends inviting the boyfriend and another set of friends inviting the girlfriend. Without checking with each other, both accepted. That's what we just did! In our defense, we were just talking about it last night and he confirmed with me if we have any invites yet and I said no. He received the invitation to a 4th of July party this morning like I did and we both accepted two different invites. And in both parties, the hosts were badly requesting for my egg rolls! Guess we'll have to plan to split our attendance once again.
