Would you knock on your neighbors door at 6:30 am?

United States
June 28, 2017 6:21pm CST
I was still asleep this morning and I woke up out of my sleep hearing someone tap on the window and knocking on the door.. It was my neighbor ,she wanted a phone number...I opened the door and wasn't very nice about it.She was in a panic and wanted a number to animal rescue.. I told her she had to wait, and she sat on the porch.. I went to go wash up, and change from my pajamas... I told her I was still asleep and this was not an acceptable hour to come here knocking on the door..

I think this is not good for a neighbor to do this. I am sure that you were totally mad about it.

It's hard to just trust instantly even if its your neighbor, especially during those times. So it's ok I guess if you won't open it. We have to be careful.

Not unless it is a s a great emergency .. however I have been disturbed many times for trivial reasons and I show my displeasure so that they don't make it a habit ..your neighbor could have waited for a few hours.

I only would for a very serious reason. She could have looked online called the operator to have the number. What she did is inconsiderate.

That does seem a bit early but it sounds like she was pretty stressed.

She must have been desperate to knock on your door at that hour. What happened to the animal?

well the rescue group came and picked it up, and will find it a home after they take it to the vet for a check up. They will also get it spayed.

@CookieMonster46 That's good that they could pick the dog up. Maybe it will find a good home.

It would be too early for me too. That's not a reason or not reason enough to knock at a neighbours door at that time.
29 Jun 17
Depending on the situation, yes.

It depends on the relationship you have with her. If it is an emergency like this was I wouldn't mind helping at all if someone needed help at 6Am

I would be upset as most know i sleep late. But then again, the world doesnt stop just because im sleeping. So wouldnt allow myself to get that mad if someone needed something. Especially if it's important
