im not sure but probably 3yrs.. close to 4yrs. I had to leave home for high school and i lived with my sister first. Then we moved and moved. Then she went away for work and i was left alone to live at another apartment. I've lived in so many apartments for more than a decade now.

@JohnRoberts Yes! Planning on it! Been house hunting but the market here in Southern California is horrible! Just keeps going up!

Prices here in Jerusalem are high also. I do not believe I will ever afford to buy something so I continue to rent.

Thank you Aishani. It was not my choice to stay there that long. In the beginning the landlady said we could stay 5 years and then my ex left and she let me stay as long as I wanted to. Believe me I wanted to leave way before the 17 years, but, could not afford it at the time and rents are very expensive here so got lucky with someone telling me about an apartment in the building where she owns one. Now, I hope I can stay here or until it is time for Sophie and I to go to a home.

That is a long time. Are you happy there? Do you have nice neighbors around you?

I am very similar to you. When i was married we moved frequently until we got divorced and then the children and I stayed in that home for more than 20 years. I hate moving

I lived in a house for 19 years and then moved twice. I have been here for at least 7 years.

@Hannihar I live in North Carolina. I sometimes like it where I live now. I grew up in a small town. Then in 2001, I think, I moved outside of a bigger town. Then a big ice storm happened and tree limbs came in the roof. I moved here which across the street from it.

Jessica, where do you live in the United States? That is a long time and 7 years is also long. Do you enjoy where you live now that you have stayed 7 years? Is it close to where you used to live or the same State?

I can see that. I moved from large to small and I still have an area no matter how I try to make it less there I cannot figure out how to get rid of more. When I moved here I had to throw lots of things and have still thrown things, but, what I have in that area I need and no storage place to put it in.
