Still waiting for the washing machine to do its thing. I am very impatient right now and want to transfer the clothes to the dryer. Getting late here and I want to fold the laundry before dinner time. I should have started earlier but kept postponing it. My own fault.

We have to do laundry today, but we have to go to the laundromat...fun. lol. At least having clean clothes is worth it!

Must be a lot of hard work to bring everything to the laundromat.

I can take my time doing the laundry and take my time folding it to. I am never in a hurry any more and I like that.

Waiting for the washer to finish seems like forever when you have other things to do. I postponed my laundry altogether today

I wish our dryer was working so I didn't have to hang everything on clothes racks and hangers throughout the house to dry. LOL.

@marlina one we get the wiring done we can use it. Have to run a line and make a new outlet. That requires an electrician. Money is tight.

Evidently, a watched washing machine is like a watched pot, slower to boil or finish.

I did some washing today at the camp site we're staying in. It will be nice to have clean sheets tonight.

@marlina It was really good to have clean sheets last night. I only have the one pair so I can't wash them unless I'm sure I can get them dry again for the same night.

We do tend to put things off. I often do that and then wish I hadn't.

Reminded me of the time I waited for two hours for a dryer to finish with that giant load of laundry. I kept waiting for it to finish, then checked, then turned it on again, and again... (We were on holiday at the time, that rental place had a washing machine + dryer for us to use.)

@YrNemo I used to put my dryer to work every day when the kids were young and it was okay.

@marlina I thought so at the time, but could it be that that dryer played up that time too? (I had used it almost every night for a week or so previously.)

I've found that washing machines, and other appliances, just don't pay any attention when you tell them to hurry up.
