Cross-fingers to feelings untold

So i have this guy friend whose been there for me since childhood days. We've grown up together until were adults now. But i find it weird sometimes cuz i already find it awkward to look him straight in the eyes and started to refuse his invitations to go out with me. This strange feelings of mine happened when the moment he confessed his feelings for me that he started to see me more than just a friend. I don't know if i too has the same feelings for him but all i know is, i misses him in times i don't see him and in times when he doesn't text or call and not just that, i see him everywhere and crazily i tend to smile with just a thought of him laughing or with just a thought of his voice and the way how we get so happy when we are together. But things have change now since it's already been a month since we never see each other because he stopped inviting me out knowing i always refuse to go out with him. Now, i don't know what to do. I know i am no longer a teenager to felt like this but this is something not common to me when it comes to feeling this way. Should i text him first? perhaps call him first? and most of all i would want to know your opinion if what i felt is love or infatuation.?

we often are told that it's a boy's job to make the first move, and I think he did... Now he is too scared to call you as you keep turning him down.
Even though you might not have the same feeling for him as he is for you, you should call him and tell him how you feel, especially don't throw away the friendship that you and him have had.. Goodluck.

@sw8sincere you're welcome. I think he is waiting for you to call him too... He now might regrets for confessing his feeling for you... Even if you can't be bf gf you can still be good friends for each other. All the best.

I agree. I think after all, it is our friendship which matters the most. Speaking of telling him how i feel, i think i still need to practice how to do that and figure out the best timing. As it says, everything happens for a reason and for whatever reason that is, what matters most is the way i feel and onto how i will be able to relay how i feel.

@sw8sincere As he's asked you so often, you'd simply answer him at last. Don't overthink the situation and do what you feel like doing.

thank you my friend. i know it's easier said than done, but i feel like things have change now. We never spoke to each other for two months now and i don't have any idea if he already dumped me or what which is exactly the reason i tend to feel scared to call him first.

There's no harm in making the first move this time. Call him and ask him to hangout. But if he refuses or turned you down, well too bad so sad. That is life and you just have to move on. I know it's easier said than done but at least you do not have to spend the rest of your life wondering what-if? Besides, it seems to me like you do have feelings for him. If he is a decent person, then why not give it a try?

I know i have this special feelings for him knowing he has been my childhood friend / best friend. But i cannot tell yet if this feelings is already the one many calls as "Love".

Sad to know that you wasted all these years when you two could have had a great time together.
If only I were smarter and aggressive, I would have done it already.
Yeah, friendship matters, but then as time goes by people change and both of you might not have that moment anymore.
