Family Picnic

I wasn't expecting to go anywhere today except church and then home. I didn't even get to the grocery store as planned to stock up on apple cider vinegar natural drinks. Instead, I sort of invited myself to a family picnic.
My older son's girlfriend's family had a picnic today, so I got to meet a lot of people and had a good time to boot. I found out what it was like when everyone gets along well and no one fights. It was different.
I also found out her family is large. Not everyone was there because there was also a Pow Wow going on today. My son's girlfriend is full blooded Native American. The picture is my son and his girlfriend.
Now I'm home, fully stuffed with all the good food, and I must say, I didn't eat anything I shouldn't. So I'm doing very good. They had hamburgers, hot dogs, venison hot dogs, and brats along with potato salad - two kinds - with and without onions, and deviled eggs. I had a burger and venison hot dog, very good, both kinds of potato salad and a few deviled eggs. I didn't have any chips or soda. If I eat before I go to bed I'll be surprised.
Now it's time to interact with anybody who happens to be around on this holiday weekend.
How was your day? Do you have any plans for this holiday weekend? Let me also give a shout out to my Canadian friends who celebrated National Day in Canada yesterday.
Thanks for reading.

How nice of an outing for you! Your son is extra handsome and would make a catch for anyone! He has such a kind, sweet, and happy face. Glad to hear you stuck to your diet, especially since this long weekend is all about eating and celebrating our wonderful country's independence.

Thank you. He is handsome isn't he It was actually easy to do so. Okay, I did have one of those mini cupcakes. Still it was one of those tiny ones so can't have too much sugar in them can they? Besides, I'm now finished with a bottle of apple cider vinegar drink. I had to go to the store to get it. I also stocked up on fruit, so I'll be snacking on that before bed as well.

@DianneN He was blessed with those long eyelashes women kill for. Thank you. I'm starting my day off right. Pool, Apple Cider Vinegar drink, banana, and grapefruit. I forgot how much I like grapefruit. Either that or the one I just had was simply delicious and my taste buds went nuts over it.

Hey! I'm around! Lol. My day was okay; did laundry, watched tv, listened to music, and made cupcakes. No plans for tonight, or tomorrow. No idea whats going to happen tuesday.
Sounds like a good time. And a burger sounds delicious right now. Ive never been to a pow wow, but heard they are fun. (I'm part cheerokee indian).

@just4him yes I'm glad I did even though it was in good fun. The cooks back there make quesadillas and chimichangas and other Mexican food. I love authentic Mexican. They never share it with me which is what started the fight for the quesadillas. I finally got them today after a month. hahaha They were so delicious that they were worth the wait!

Yes it is. It was a pleasure to be around people who don't fight and argue all the time.

Sounds like you had a good time. I never had venison hot dogs and probably never will. I knew a girl in high school, Theresa, who was Native American, when there was a demonstration. I assumed she was half-Native American, since her last name was Italian.

That's probably a good assumption. They were different. I don't usually eat hot dogs. I'm a burger gal. They were okay.
