What is your favorite "patriotic" movie?

Since tomorrow is the 4th of July and is a huge deal over here in the states, the influx of 4th of July posts have already started, so I figured I would post my own, although it is going to be a little different. Tomorrow being the fourth has got me thinking about patriotic movies, or movies that feature the military in one way or another. This also got me wondering what other myLotter's favorite patriotic movies were. Mine is probably Forrest Gump. I mean, how can you beat that? Although Stripes would be a close second. What about you?

I love both Forrest Gump and Stripes. My favorite patriotic movie...that's so hard to pick. I really like The Patriot with Mel Gibson, but there are a lot of older war movies I like too, just can't think of any titles off the top of my head.

The Patriot? That's the only one I could think of. I laughed really hard when I remebered that it was called the Patriot, I would of thought the name would of come quicker to me. We are watching Gump, finally right now. I have been meaning to watch it all day.
