Fried Chicken for Breakfast?

United States
July 3, 2017 11:36am CST
I over slept and when I emerged from my room at 11:00, my granddaughter and my son were eating fried chicken he picked up and brought over. It smelled heavenly and I had a piece for breakfast. It's an old tradition that has fallen out of favor. Probably because most women these days would not get up in the morning and fry up a chicken. I can't even imagine it! Have you ever had fried chicken for breakfast?

Never had fried chicken. I have had left over curry and left over pizza. Curry is usually far nicer the following day.

At the turn of the last century it was a staple for Sunday Breakfast.

I would call that 'brunch' not breakfast . If I ate chicken and it was left over from the night before, I would have it in a sandwich.

This was fresh cooked. I called it breakfast as it was my first meal of the day. I broke my fast.

I would hope so! Still it felt strange eating it first thing in the day.
