Happy 4th of July to our American friends. Here's a happy thought to help you celebrate the occasion. We all know the Donald has a way of making any event about himself. What if... They decided to make "Crossing the Delaware" a grand production show complete with props and costumes as part of the independence day celebration. Trump will no doubt insist on playing a character role. Probably George Washington. Midway across the Delaware river the boat sinks. Anyone throwing Trump a lifesaver? Photo Image: Wikimedia Commons

@just4him _I hope he will be able to keep all the promises he made during the election. "How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit"

@josie_ I understand he is not much liked by many people. However, he is still the president of the United States and deserves respect for that reason alone. As you're quoting scripture remember 1 Timothy 2:1-4.

here in our country, the 4th of July before was celebrated as the Fil-AM Friendship Day. a colleague who is a college classmate of mine posted on FB about "happy independence day, America... proud to be an American". i think she is of dual citizenship now, or maybe she embraced the citizenship of her husband who is an American. for me, i would not want to post that on FB. i am proud to be a Filipino.

@ridingbet _Which is why president Diosdado Macapagal move it to June 12th when the Filipinos declared their independence from Spanish colonial rule before the US decided to annex the country because they were concern the Filipinos were incapable of self-government.*sarcasm*

Come to think of it, USA President Trump has similarities in bravery, love for freedom for country and the American people. If he, the billionaire, produces the "play" it would be big time. The big- league boat will not sink. It would be a swell of a historical crossing.

@everwonderwhy _The question was not if the boat would sink or not. But if you would throw him a lifesaver.

@everwonderwhy _This post is obviously a "humor" piece as clearly shown in the #humor. Something you are aware of since you made a comment that this is a "silly what if..." Why do you feel the need to "defend" Trump? Are you an American or Australian? (@everwonderwhy (1237) • Australia) Indeed, I am "wondering why" There are no "hypothetical conclusion" in the post and only light banter in the comment section. Besides the phrase "hypothetical conclusion" is an oxymoron. Are all Trump fan-atics easily offended when someone make fun of their "dear great leader"? Gosh! shades of Kim Jong Un. Why do you need a red herring? The definition of a "red herring" is something that is intended to mislead and distract. One would conclude that your statement, "The grand "US Trump-Ship of State" will neither topple, not will it sink." is misleading and only pathological liars like Trump can appreciate

There are, actually, 4 hypotheticals in your silly "What ifs..." 1. " Delaware Crossing" grand production. 2. You assumed the Pres. would take the lead role as G. Washington. 3. Midway, the boat being toppled and "sinks". 4. Anyone throwing a life saver to the lead character, Pres. Trump. I chose a red herring to answer your hypothetical conclusion. My answer: The grand "US Trump-Ship of State" will neither topple, nor will it sink. Besides, Pres. Trump creates jobs. He'd rather pass the job of lead character to someone just as good. :') #MAGA
