Tasting Dreyer's Slow Churned Mint Cookie Crunch Ice Cream

Summer is prime ice cream consuming time. Mint is a favorite flavor of mine and usually have mint chocolate chip. I never heard of mint cookie crunch and had to check it out. Dreyer’s is a major having been around since 1928. The carton proclaims No Artificial Flavors, no rBST (whatever that is) and made with low fat milk and real cream. Slow Churned is Dreyer’s lite ice cream with half the fat of regular. The mint flavored ice cream tastes good. The chocolate cookie bits are generously blended in though I would really describe them as crunchy. I could not tell the difference in taste or quality between this low fat product opposed to regular. So that is a health plus. We all know ice cream is diet deadly.

I like mint chocolate chip ice cream, but love the frozen yogurt version of it better.

@Marilynda1225 Chapmans sells it by the large tub, just like ice cream, and they have so many different flavours-put it on your list to try, you won't regret it!

I've had some nice ice-creams since we've been away. I've developed quite a liking for salted caramel. I had it first out of curiosity but really enjoyed it.

I know it sounds like I weigh a 1000 pounds and gobbling all this stuff down in mass quantities but not so. I share the ice cream, cookies, cake etc. and have modest portions. Some of these posts I write sit around periods of time before I get around to posting here so its not like I am consuming this stuff daily. I don't diet but am aware of consumption.

Diet Deadly but oh so delicious! Since I'm an ice cream lover and always looking for ways to indulge yet save calories this sounds like a good option. You had me at mint and chocolate crunchies

No idea why, but mint ice cream is not a favourite of mine. I wonder if slow churning makes any difference?

It sounds quite good. I have seen Dreyers around here, but it is probably not the most popular ice cream brand.

Daagen Haas is the best Ice Cream we have here at the moment. Only one I can compare to is the one they make in Pamplona and its made by hand and its mint Chocolate and divine is the description to give it. Trouble is now I am miles away from it.

Sounds quite divine John. I think I like Dreyers better than Breyers.
