I don't have any pets now, but growing up I had a cat for about 15 years. I totally learned to read him just based on his looks and mannerisms. It's amazing how we can learn to communicate with animals without actually talking to them (and vice versa).

Yes, it is amazing how well we communicate with our pets and visa versa if we really love our pets. I am currently learning the 2 newbees who are mom's old cats, now that's a real challenge but I think they already get me, they are usually so much smarter than we are.

All but vision and hearing @moffittjc we take those for granted.

@rebelann Animals are smarter than us because they master all five of their senses. We tend to numb or ignore our senses.

Hey that looks like me in the mornings - don't disturb and I'm loving it! I love the fact that cats and dogs have their own characteristics. Oh you'll catch on to reading your sweetheart! Sometimes I wish I had a pet....but...not yet!

All in good time, at least you have time to research the do's, don't's and whatnot's about whichever pet you decide to get one day.

You might want to get information about that kind of operation from those already involved in one @percyboots it's a very noble endeavor but it might be wise to get involved with an existing one before you attempt to start one on your own. They are not easy to start and tend to be very expensive once started.

@rebelann I dream of one day owning a small rescue/sanctuary for abandoned pets, but not ready to do that yet. I just love animals.
