Gas Station Blues

I was so irritated at my better half today. My car was getting low of gas when we went out today. I wanted to stop at the nearest gas station because I don't like to go out with the tank on near empty. But he insisted on going to a station that gives him a discount on his credit card.
I didn't know where it was located but didn't know it was so far. Well, we drove and we drove. We passed gas stations and he kept driving. I kept telling him to pull over. I was about ready to bop him one when the gas station came in sight. Does your better half ever get you so irritated you just want to bop him on the nose.?

So many complain about these things!
Some of us like to have the tank at least half full always (that would be my choice) while others like to risk it!

@RubyHawk Maybe more women like the half full idea than the men?

@PatZAnthony I think you're right. I always think about being stuck in traffic. You never know when you'll come upon a wreck or roadwork. If your gas tank is on empty you're in trouble.

No I get my way no matter what. My husband always says whatever you want.

I thought you were going to say that you ran out of gas, so I'm glad that didn't happen. My husband doesn't drive any more, so it's up to me to fill it up when it needs it. That's not to say that my husband doesn't have other irritating habits - what man doesn't?

i am a regular customer of a gas station that is about 250 meters far from our house. it is discounted. and yes, sometimes i want to have the gas tank filled that i try to reach the location of the station, but thinking out loud, even if i fill up the tank but the location is far (if from the city), then it will follow.
your husband wanted a discount in his credit card and yet the gas station was far? it is the same therefore, if he filled up your car nearer to your house, than far but with discount from his card.
