YOU - THEN AND NOW.

When you were a little girl, did you prefer playing with your brother's toy cars or train sets instead of dolls? Did you climb trees and play rough sports or were you a girly girl? And now that you are an adult - have you changed much?
It is expected that boys would get dirty, climb trees, hunt and fish - preferred activities to sitting at home reading a book or working on a science project. So men - were you the outdoor type or the bookworm? - and have you changed much?
I remember myself being quiet and meditative as a child. I liked reading, dolls and the outdoors - but I wouldn't climb a tree. Today I still like to read - and wear nice feminine clothes - I hardly ever wear pants.

As a child I did all manner of everything really. Nothing phased me about any sort of climbing trees or anything else I could climb. I was not a tomboy but hung out with my bro a lot.
I never had Barbie dolls, but all my sisters did.
But that was only because there was less money with my parents to by such things when I was little.
I would guess I am much the same..

I guess I was more of a tomboy than a girlie girl even though I loved dolls and pushing them around in their carriages. But, I did enjoy playing with my brother and his friends, riding bikes, fishing and climbing trees. I didn't mind getting dirty at all but we grew up in the country which might have made a difference.
Nowadays I'm probably less of a tomboy but I do like pants and being comfortable. I did dress up when I went to work but now that Im retired I go for comfort.

I am having some difficulty remembering when I was a little girl, Kandase... I don't recall too many times my memories have been totally wiped out, either.... Well, unless you count that one time... OH! And that other time when... Oh, there was also that time when....
Hmmm... I don't recall ever being a little girl, Kandase. (You can ignore everything in that first para. Thank you!)
I climbed trees, rode horses and bikes, hiked and swam. Usually with a book not too far from whatever else I was doing. I also spend days curled in a corner somewhere just quietly reading.

Very funny @DaddyEvil - now that we have both had a good laugh, I suspected you would have done those things you mentioned during your childhood years.

I wouldn't call myself a girly girl, not a tomboy either, but I did like my dolls and I did climb some low branch trees a time or two. With my fear of heights it would need to be the ultimate in safe for me to climb. So a little of both probably, and no, I haven't changed, though I don't play with dolls any longer. I did and do love to read however, that never changed.

I guess I was more a tomboy, then again we lived in a neighborhood in the country, horses and all and out of all the kids there was only me and another girl and the rest boys. She was way to girlie girlie for me. I did everything that the boys did and probably got them in more trouble then not. LOL! I loved growing up in the country. Even today I love, fishing, getting dirty and please give me jeans and a T-shirt over dressy clothes. Friends say I clean up good when I go out thou. However I am more a homebody then not. Growing up my one thing I did do with a passion and still do is read and crafts.

Hahahahaha I have done everything... Except climbing the trees... Because I grew up in a city... So we climb walls. Though I live playing with my cousins (boys) I still love to bring my dolls with me, my diary and pen. I start reading novels when I was 12.

When I was a kid I liked to play sports, I liked reading and singing, climbing trees, and writing. I also liked playing house, playing with my kitchen and doing dolls hair.
To be honest, I am not much different now as far as liking a variety of things. I don't wear dresses or skirts but I wear jeans and pretty shirts usually. =)

I was the outdoorsy type when I was a kid. I had scratches on my skin because of outdoor games. When I grew up, I focused on school works.

@Kandae11 Another reason why I stayed indoors that time I was skinny and wore a huge spectacles. I only go out when my friends play volleyball.

Now that I think about it, I was quite the bizarre mixture... I read, played with dolls, liked to go exploring and picking worms with my dad.

@Kandae11 I don't think that I ever put a worm on a hook... but I had no problem collecting them! I still can't believe that I did that!

@Sherwinmrtn They are still pants - women do look great in them, but personally my preference would be dresses and skirts.

@Kandae11 ohk. Thats nice :) but even though pants is for men, pants for females are stiched for females style then why dont you opt for wearing pants its feminine dress

I was sort of in between the outdoor and bookish type. I always read a lot, but my summers were spent running around a small town and pastures in west Texas, fishing, hunting and shooting.
