In the 1960s Elvis was busy with the movies. They seemed to come out one after the other and along with them soundtrack albums. The twentieth album that Elvis released included songs from the movie “Kissin’ Cousins”. The album was released on April 2, 1964. One single was released “Kissin’ Cousins”. Some other songs on the album were “Smokey Mountain Boy”, “Tender Feeling” and “Echoes of Love”. All of these songs I’m sure are the least known by Elvis. The movie “Kissin’ Cousins” had Elvis playing a dual role. Both portrayed by Elvis look-alike cousins were Josh Morgan, a dark-haired U.S. Air Force second lieutenant and Jodie Tatum, a blond hillbilly. The action takes place in the Great Smokey Mountains in the state of Tennessee. Actually the movie was shot in Hollywood and in the San Bernardino Mountains of southern California. The main plot of the movie is to get the relatives named Tatum to sell their land to the U.S. Government to be used as an ICBM missile base. The actresses in this movie were Yvonne Craig portraying country cousin Azalea and Pamela Austin portraying country cousin Selena. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kissin%27_Cousins
