I saved a buch of money yesterday!

Yes I did and I am proud of it! The best way to save money is by not spending it. I did not spend a penny so the UPS guy will not be here any time soon. Although it was Prime Day at Amazon - 30 hours of savings - I didn't go to the Amazon site once! I thought about it, but I was busy with other things. I figured I would probably get sucked in to purchases I didn't really need or want. Did you get any deals at the big Amazon Prime Day? Photo from pixabay

No I did not Abby. I wouldn't go near that site if someone paid me to do so, because that is the best way to save money is don't spend it.

@TiarasOceanView Yes. within a 40 min ride we have Walmart and Belk - that's it. To get to 'real' stores it's at least 1 1/2 hours north or south of us.

Nope, and I didn't order anything online. I was going to place an order with PetSmart, allegedly there was supposed to be 'free shipping' but then they tried to charge me for it so I didn't finish the order.

I buy Ruby's food thru Chewy.com and now switched to auto-delivery so I can get the better price and no shipping - I just heard they were bought out by PetSmart.

@AbbyGreenhill Well that explains something...I went and looked at Chewy yesterday and the set-up was pretty much the same for both sites.

that's awesome I know it's a hard thing to do with some people But there's always those that know how to fight the urge not to. I don't shop on amazon so it don't effect me in any way, BUT I do shop with finger hut & Walmart & that's it on where I spend money at (just to spend $) we have bills & on a fixed income so our money HAS to be spent on things that's needed not just for wants, there's a LOT of things we WANT but don't NEED But at the same TIME there's a LOT we need & can't HAVE.

I have had issues buying from WW online - so I don't bother - we don't shop at WW much at all. I do a lot of Amazon shopping since we live in the booneis and there are no decent stores.

I did a lot of reviews of Amazon products and to get the products w/o paying shipping Prime was the way to go. I make back the 99 easily each year.

I am searching for the right rental cabin for a few days in September. It's a German town in GA and we've been there before, great bakery - best ever. My husband loves German food, me not so much (at all actually) but there are enough American places we'll be fine. So I was online searching and searching, but not on Amazon

@AbbyGreenhill Is the town called Helen, on the Chattahoochee river? We have visited years ago driving there from Atlanta. It's a nice little town.

@LadyDuck Yes !! That's right I think we talked about it before. We were there about 5 years ago and loved it. We have wanted to go back but the problem is finding a reasonably priced pet friendly rental. The bakery there is fantastic - we brought home all kinds of goodies. I am working on reservations at a place 7 miles or so south of Helen. My husband's mouth is already watering for German food.

Any money saved is ! I'm all for a great sale . . . but these days I try to shop with my eyes and not with my wallet. If anything I need to get rid of stuff - gotta do that first!

I don't even know yesterday it was the Amazon Prime Day In fact I am not very interested in the promotion day for any online stores. I just buy whenever I need it rather than buy it because of there is the promotion. As I may buy something unnecessary and store a lot of stuffs at home. It is a kind of waste in my opinion.
