A lot to do on my pc last night. 8 PM my internet goes out. Possibly because of so much rain yesterday (hate Florida!)
I pay 64 bucks a month for internet alone. No cable, and have had only a cell phone with the same provider, not my internet provider, for 5 yrs. now. Called Spectrum to ask why internet was out. they said the whole area was out. they were working on it. might be 4 hours. Well it was 5 am before it was fixed.
Only 2 good things came from this. I had to dig out my DVD's and watch some favorite movies again to calm down. One was Songcatcher . I love this movie as it has so many beautiful songs in it from my ancestors that I heard my grandma and dad sing when I was little.
Have watched this movie many times and suddenly realized one of my favorite characters was played by Emma Rossum from Shameless ! Ever surprised by something you had never noticed before in a movie you had watched many times before?
Second good thing was thank God it wasn't the electricity.
Oh and I played with my phone and found out it has a voice record on it! for notes.
Still mad at my internet provider though. Now to get back to things I need to do here.

I'm sorry your internet went out. Here just internet was $120 per month, hence the reason we don't have it. I use my mobile hot spot to be here.

wow i should be glad i am not in that area of Florida. i use internet for all my entertainment, even tv on my Roku

Mine is very reliable but for internet only it is 90 dollars a month.

Yes I don't blame you for being upset, without the Internet it is tough, my cell phone, however, is a hot spot so I can use it to power my laptop.

@BelleStarr my iphone was also not receiving any internet either which surprised me because i pay for extra data and i thought that meant i could use it any where

@bunnybon7 My cell phone becomes my modem, I can connect my lap top to the Internet signal it puts out. In Florida 2 years ago, I used it the entire time I was in Florida at our house.

I know what you mean. My relatives had to cut down some of digital boxes because it was too expensive to pay our cable bill with Suddenlink.

Yes, from time to time it goes out here as well. Mine is $90 a month with the rental of my Box etc, but I have Blast Speed thru Comcast so I guess for the luxury it works. Gone are the days of Cheap internet, but to have the luxury besides dial up in the past... Well, but at least you got it fixed.

I have had internet out for a little while in the last week. Something I have come to expect on occasion, but they work hard at getting it restored.

yes it is and i use it to watch tv also. so this time when i get paid i am thinking to get a few more DVD's just in case

$64?? dang 'n here i 'twas thinkin' 'f shuttin' mine off coz 'tis $37, lol. anyhow, do ya e'er notice that net providers 'n cable folks don't reimburse ya fer yer down time? noperz, not one red cent...
interestin' that'cher phone does voice recordin'. now ya got me wonderin' if'n mine does, lol.
i'm prone these days to strictly dribblin' there'n my word processor. no need fer net 'n i can actually get more done :)
