My Day in a Nutshell

Today has been sort of slow but enjoyable.I had a letter from my nephew yesterday so I sat down this morning and wrote him a long letter. I mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors, polished all the furniture and cleaned all mirrors and glass in the apartment . And of course, I cooked. I finished all my ironing and even cleaned and polished shoes. My younger sister called and we had a long chat. Another sister called yesterday so I believe I'm current on all the family news. In between these activities I've been on mylot. That's my day in a nut shell. How was yours?

As usual I had a long and exhausting day. Soon I have to go out again for another doctor appointment of my husband.

@RubyHawk He is not too bad, but he needs many physiotherapy sessions every year both for a back and a neck problem.

Oh, I'm sorry. I hope he will be all right. My better half has health problems too. He has an appointment on Monday with his neurologist.

Doctor's appointment first thing, the doctor was a no show so back later to doctor and then home to watch the John Adams series on HBO.

@RubyHawk Yupa personal emergency. We went out to breakfast and then back home. The original appointment was 7:45, the doctor saw us at 10:15

Very busy day for you! You must be in good health to be able to do all this in one day. My day was spent worrying before my endoscopy and then going through it and back at home still worried.

@kiran8 I used to exchange letters with cousins and other relatives but now I only write to a niece and nephew. I do emails with others and phone calls.

That is a lot of work ..my yesterday's routine...let me see, cooking, trying a new dish, working, and well eating. I will do some cleaning the day after as we are not supposed to clean up on Fridays and Saturdays and Tuesdays. It is said that money leaves the house if you do so. So though I am not superstitious, I am not going to take the risk. Ah yes, yesterday I did my laundry too. :)

You've done quite a bit. I find polishing furniture to be relaxing. My day has been a summer's day. I had a pleasant first hour out on the property and that set my mood nicely for the rest of the day.

oh, you had an exhausting day. i hope your weather there is not as hot as ours here, because doing all those chores in one day while it is hot, can precipitate a heart problem as in heart attack.

I do not remember one day to the next it seems. I mowed yesterday, and did laundry, I know that much.Oh, I had coffee with an old friend and I stopped in two different towns looking for a particular item. I cooked. We had storms all evening. I myLotted, and swagged. That was yesterday. I may talk about today later on.

Yesterday I mostly worked online until the computer wanted to update. I finished listening to one book and started listening to another. Today I will be doing laundry, watching a show on netflix, listening to more of that book and maybe go shopping.

No, I don't think I'm especially hard working. I used to be when I had a garden and a job besides taking care of the house.
