Culinary Epic Fails: Cold Spaghetti Sandwiches.

This won't show up in any cookbooks, and if it does PLEASE burn the cook book asap. This is actually something that my now deceased step grandfather used to make all the time when I was growing up that would actually turn my stomach inside out, and well quite frankly still does. He had what he thought was an genius way to get rid of those spaghetti leftovers. He made them into a sandwich. But oh no he didn't just stop with slapping some cold spag in between two pieces of white bread. He put the cold spaghetti into a blender, with a supersized helping of mayo and then blended it till it resembled something in between baby food and cat vomit and then spread it on two pieces of buttered bread. I just can't. It was so horrible to watch. And remembering it now makes me almost want to rush to the trash can and hurl my cookies now.

I don't think I could go for that either. My 14 year old grandson will make a sandwich from just about everything, including fried chicken croquettes, chicken and pastry, and even vegetable soup.

@thislittlepennyearns if it has sauce on it I will. If not, I feed it to the parrot or leave it for my husband.

Eww. Yay, let's blend stuff and add mayo! This sounds like crafting ideas for children... of another galaxy. This is not a recipe, simple. The best way to cook leftover spaghetti is to make a spaghetti omelette, everyone should know that.

I mean, growing up I only ever had Hunts tomato sauce and i would make spaghetti sandwiches, but never cold or adding stuff to it (Havent used hunts sauce or had spaghetti sandwiches in about a year now. Wver since i started eating the lasanga weve used ragu meat sauce) .

I make homemade sauce from a couple of 77 cents cans of crushed tomatoes, a couple of diced garlic cloves, and some fresh herbs and spices. So much better than the jarred stuff.
