How far would you go for corporate success? Would you have an elderly lady evicted because she could no longer pay the mortgage on it? That is exactly the situation that Christine Brown is facing in the 2009 release of “Drag Me To Hell”. Justin Long (a relatively unknown actor at that point in time) and Alison Lohman are the lead characters but the most interesting is Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver) because of the different changes that she goes through. The dinner scene was awesome and even though the graphics were a little dodgy, it was still incredibly creepy to see the blinking eyeball in the slice as well as the gooey goop that leaks out when Christine starts stabbing it. This kind of torture happens throughout the whole movie and even when you think everything is done and over with, there are still some very loose ends to have to contend with before the witch can be banished. Some people might be hesitant to give this more than a couple of stars but when you look at the whole package – it's not nearly as bad as people initially reported. Will it give you nightmares? That depends on what you consider scary; if you are sensitive to even the tame stuff then this might be enough to have you pacing for a few hours. If you like horror movies that don't feed you the whole plot in the first ten minutes then this is one to check out. It's not perfect but it's better than most others in the genre. I watched this movie before. The poster is attractive and I expected it was a great horror movie, but I was wrong.
