How is everyones Saturday going? It was a busy night for me last night and I managed to knock out two birds with one stone - got to see a friend I havent in about a month AND take a 5 mile river front walk! I had some guilt over skippig the gym but not after sweating and walking for 1.5 hours in the heat. It was nice to catch up with this friend too. Most of my friends seem only interested in going out to eat or going to bars for happy hour,so I am always extremely excited when one wants to do something active and more healthy with me. Do you have friends that will walk ot exercise with you? What are you up to this weekend?

Yes. Do you have any friends that could go with you? I usually have a hard time getting together with friends and doing this due to our schedules and their total lack of interest in exercise. Lol. What are you up to this weekend?

Better you than me! Lol. I am all about walking but I don't like taking walks in the heat. If it's hotter than 80 degrees I am not interested.

Living in the country kind of makes it hard, but sometimes I walk with hubby to collect the mail which is a kilometer away. But just when it's cool. It's a hot one today!

I love to walk and my husband usually walks with me. Many of our neighbors also do a morning walk.

I actually quite like walking on my own. I enjoy company but it isn't necessary,

your walking 5 miles, i think, is already a good exercise off the gym.

Hi, We really do not have weekends here in Israel. We have Friday which in the summer is a longer day and in winter a shorter day and then Saturday is our Sabbath and Sunday starts the work week. That is very ambitious to do all that walking and glad you have a friend that enjoys it too. I have to start doing more exercising and maybe get into a routine of walking too because I do not walk enough and feel it. I wish my cat would do exercises with me but I know she would not. It would be cute to see what she does.

When I was unmarried, I used to take such walks. I don't remember any incidence after marriage that I could have done so. For me one mile walk post dinner will be achievement.

It was like being in a gym outdoors! What's better than a nature walk. Beats an indoor gym anytime. I use a boardwalk along the beach for walking. Scenery, sea gulls, a tide coming in... Very inspirational!

I always go for a walk, and I like this way, and can think quietly for myself

Yesterday we went out for a shopping with my daughter. We stayed out for almost the entire day. I actually talked to my friend who posted a picture of her doing her workout at the gym. I tried to ask for the details of the gym but she told me it was for free and the gym is being paid by the company. I was like really? Well, i wish our company will also offer the free gym coz monthly membership here is quite expensive.

That's a good long distance, for me at least... How nice it is to have an equally active friend to keep you company while walking and exercising...
