I received my first myLot postcard

On Saturday I received a postcard from the USA. It was from our friend @BelleStarr. I was thrilled to get it as with advancing technology I don't tend to get any in the mail anymore. It is of the Connecticut shoreline. I have been tardy in sending one back but intend to do so. Do you like receiving postcards?

I don't remember which century I last got a postcard! I saw the CT shoreline in person a few times years ago.

As soon as I saw the words Connecticut Shoreline I realised that it was from Isabelle.

How sweet of Iz!!!! We have stayed at The Spa, Inn and Marina in Old Saybrook several times and my friend owns a summer cottage right there! We spent most of yesterday at a beach not far from Old Saybrook. lol. We used to send postcards when we traveled, but now keep them in a scrapbook. I still receive them when a condo sells from Florida. Otherwise, I can live without them.

Beautiful postcard. The last time I received a postcard has been many months ago, from a friend in New Zealand.

I used to receive postcards from friends and relatives when they went on summer vacation, I also used to send some, both from the mountains and seaside. Now it's way less common, but there are a few people I'd still send postcards to if I got to travel somewhere (I haven't in the last six years).

It was very common many years ago to send cards to family and friends. Now I tend to get pics via Facebook.

@Gillygirl I see. Well, it's still a completely different thing: being asked for the address every time, waiting for weeks to receive the postcard, the act of searching a good image, buy the stamp and lick it. Great times.

It was common practice when I was young, but the trade in postcards was devastated by modern technology.

I'm not really keen to start receiving a lot of postcards as I feel obliged to keep them and I'm trying to declutter. I'm sure it is a lot of fun though.

@Gillygirl Gill, what did you do with the postcard? If you give you more than maybe you can make a collage with them and put it here to show us if you want.
