They are shrinking everything and thinking the American people do not know. And than do they keep the price the same. No they shrink it and than charge more. They might even put a new design on the package. Than they say a new design and new package. Some times they will put less in a bigger package and think you will not notice. They even are making smaller cans of pop now and of course charging the same amount of money for less. The picture is mine taken by me.

The Dollar Tree started selling their garlic powder in a 1 ounce bottle instead of a 2 ounce bottle so I quit buying it there. They maybe thought I wouldn't notice.

They sure do. My box of Cheezits has shrunk quite a lot but the price goes up instead of down.

What I really hate is they are making cans of soup smaller which messes up my recipes.

Another thing to be aware of is the so called bargains at dollar stores, then you find out they are cheaper because they are a smaller size as well. I agree on the different size same price. Another thing is that they make it harder to compare, like this toilet paper has this many rolls, this one has so many square feet and the third one is single ply and the fourth one is so many sheets per roll. Who can really figure it out?

Hostess is a prime example of shrinking or downsizing their product and then charge more. I bought a suzy Q the other day, the first thing i noticed was the smaller size, it used to look like a brick , now it looks like a lego !

that is so true. like here, there is a promo for "buy one, take one at the same price", but if you look closer at its contents, definitely it got shorter or reduced in size and content.

It is all about the money, it is a shame. They give less to earn more. People buy 2 packages instead of 1 because they know they get less in 1 package.

I notice that with a lot of food items. Juices, mayonnaise, and spaghetti sauce to name a few things. I like that car. I have gone to a few classic auto shows and the vehicles always impress me. Such workmanship!

They are doing the same here in Europe. You buy something and you notice that the package has changed with a big "New, Improved" signs on the shelf and you may be sure that the content is less and the price went up.

Where I worked you got four big rolls for a dollar. Than years later two big rolls for a dollar and when I quit you got one big roll for a dollar.

They do, and then they will make it normal size and charge twice the price. It is an inflationary cycle.

I have noticed this too. The granola bars I've always bought are smaller than they used to be, and don't get me started on Hostess products! Twinkies are tiny compared to how they used to be.
