My Brown Shoes

Yes, I have holes in the bottom of both of my brown shoes. No one can see them. But they are starting to make a noise on the wood floor at work. A funky sound at that. But I’m going to wear them until I can’t anymore. Each shoe has a hole in the heel part. It doesn’t seem to go all the way through. So until then, I’m going to wear them. I think I bought them at Kmart a few years ago.

@marlina Probably not. But I might try to fill it in with super glue or something like that.

If not make you embarrassed anyway then there is nothing to worry on using it. I too prefer to use the maximum, if there is minor problems then I will try to fix it.

i guess if the holes are not causing water to seep in, then it's okay. is it like a suction noise? i don't think i've had any shoe that developed holes in the heels, though. what do you think caused it?

Well, if no one can see the holes, then wear them until you can wear them no more.

@Corbin5 Yep, until the noise it makes gets too loud.

@Susan2015 I used to wear shoes when I taught that were so comfortable, and I wore them out after so much use. I do not like it when a favorite shoe wears out, but I sure wear them as long as possible.

Are there any shoe repair shop there? I think it is fine if they can fix it.

Ever now and then I find a pair of shoes that I absolutely love. I tend to wear them until they fall off my feet.

Yup, I usually like that too. If the shoes can be mend, I'll mend it until it really cannot be used anymore.

That is good you are going to wait as that is a good way to save and have money for other things! Can you put something on the holes in the heels since that is the bottom of the shoe that - won't' show-- but won't make as much noise o the wood floor at work? I like to keep my shoes until they are no longer able to look decent for work decently
