End of the road

Mylotters, I did check in with my client today for work at Upwork, since I haven't worked much and very little lately. He told me that they're doing a bit of restructuring, and their needs are changing. He didn't want to leave me with nothing to do, like yesterday and today. So he's thinking of ending my contract 6 weeks early and give me a 5-star rating for feedback sometime this week.
If that's the case, that'll be okay with me. I did thank him for his time and told him it was nice working with him and to think of me for new projects somewhere down the road. I would miss getting paid every week, since last week would be considered my last paid work week.
In the meantime, I'll take time off to work on my edits, cleaning, and do some work for Hub Pages for the next 3 weeks. I'll contact my two previous clients from last year on 8/1/17, since I still have open contracts with them and maybe propose a new contract to them too. I'll also look for work in two weeks to start again on 8/7/17. He had officially closing my contract. I'll update my availability on my profile to reflect that change right now.

You must have done well to get such a high rating. Sounds as if you are staying busy.

It is good to see Upwork is good for you, @KristenH , but so sad contract had to be closed with the client. I am sure others will come!
I think I have a profile there, but I never thought I could do something, because I work as a translator and typist, mainly from Portuguese into Spanish and vice-versa, and I can't find many jobs being offered that match my specifications. I tried Workana. This one has so many interesting jobs for Portuguese and Spanish speakers. Great one!
Hope all goes well with your projects and editings! =)

Me too. But he did give me good feedback and rating though. I would be happy to work with him again if he needs me. Good insight! I've seen a lot of clients there that's outside of the USA like Canada, Australia, Europe, Asia. Thanks!
