Kind of a strange day so far for me

So far today I have gone to clinical supervision, turned in four progress notes, heard the word "apple" clear as a bell from my expressive aphasic 2 1/2-year-old friend, watered the corn and sunflowers, changed three diapers (a personal record), done a large floor puzzle, played football catch with a 12-year-old, almost got run over by an out of control semi-tractor-trailer, stopped at Trader Joe's, and loaded three instruments into my truck for music practice tonight. I hope calm sets in after music practice. How has your Tuesday been?

Not quite as busy as yours. In fact, other than scooping the cat boxes, I didn't accomplish a damn thing!

Sounds relaxing. Did you get some movie watching in?

@teamfreak16 Any good ones? I watch a few short ones every day. Either music or airplane communication stuff, mostly.

@cahaya1983 I did! In fact, I was dreaming away when my alarm wet off. The sound of my alarm became something in my dream, but I woke up anyway.

Today was similar for me, but all I have left is band practice with another band. I also set a new diaper record. How did I, who managed to pull the "male card" for 20 years of ECE work, suddenly become the "Diaper King"?

@Hatley I now enjoy doing dishes. Another thing to "get done." My young friend SINGS when I clean his butt. How can I not enjoy that (except for the smell)?

Tuesday I have been outside most of the day with my husband. He had some computer items to buy and we had to visit several stores. It was extremely hot, the heat wave is back.

It's better here- rains in between but humidity tends to be higher.

@TheHorse I am not extremely excited to follow him in computer store to help him deciding which Hard Disk, DVD burner or power supply is the best to buy, but I did.

Was it enjoyable nonetheless? Or just something you wanted to get done? It's cooler here now.

My day was like a cool breeze while setting on the front porch sipping cold sweet tea on a summer day in the deep south. That was Southern belle talk. My day was good, I worked inside. Out of control semi? Hmmm

Glad you asked! Maybe I'll describe the incident at some point. Life is precious.

Much easier than yours. Sounds like you need a good break and a nap. I've only done the usual. A little shopping, laundry. Cooking, I did bake a chocolate cake

I baked a chocolate cake too. But it was pretend and in the sandbox. The real deal sounds fun.

Well my Tuesday was quite hectic. I had lots of work at office and some running around in the evening. And my weekend too would be quite hectic.

Are you bragging or complaining about the fact that you soiled three diapers and then had to change them? What did I do on Tuesday? Let me think ... what day is today again?

Honestly..my tuesday had lactose intolerance written over it...we made some sweet with milk and I tasted it...there goes my tummy on strike. I honestly ate just half piece out of 10 pieces there. Dad took one and he is diabetic. Rest my little friends ate. But it is only I who is punished...when I die I am going to punish the almighty.

When you go to your intake interview with St. Peter and the Almighty, drink two gallons of milk an hour before and unleash the Mother of All Plagues upon them!

Can I send you some kids with poopy diapers to change? As a Grandma, my hunch is that you have more experience than I do. (Note to English majors who read this comment: I KNOW the sentence structure is wrong, but I'm too lazy to correct it.)

@TheHorse I'm not only a grandma, but was an English major as well. No, you may not send me poopy diapers. You need to practice. Practice makes perfect.

I'm glad you didn't get run over by the semi-tractor-trailer. My day yesterday was not as hectic as yours was, but that's great about the aphasic child you work with.
