Late Start To My Day

Usually I'm saying good morning to all my friends here but today I'm saying good afternoon.
What a crazy morning. Right after I took and shower the phone rang and it was my Aunt looking to chat. We had such a nice conversation while I enjoyed my first cup of coffee. Soon after we hung up, my friend called and she's going through a crisis so that was my second cup of coffee and consoling her with the difficulties she's going through.
Next thing I know it's past noon and I haven't accomplished much at all expect making sure the dogs got out to do their business.
The doorbell rings and it's the UPS guy with my brand new Christmas tree that I bought from QVC over the weekend. What a good deal with all their Christmas in July sales. Half of me wants to put it up today to see if it's as pretty as it looked on television. 
Finally had my lunch and now have the marinara sauce on the stove for our pasta tonight.
While my sauce bubbles away I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to sit here and chat.
The sun is shining but it's HOT so I'm grateful for my nice, cool air conditioned house.
It's probably going to take me awhile to catch up here as I was out all day yesterday and falling behind with my late start today.
Hope all is going well with you today

I was busy yesterday visiting with a friend and today I have been packing so I know how you feel!

It makes sense to start your Christmas shopping early but I refuse to think about anything related to it in July

We seem to be having the same type of day. I've been gabbing, texting, and recently on Facebook most of the day. I was dripping after my morning walk, so had my coffee out on the deck. We have outdoor outlets, so used a fan to keep me cool and work on my tan. That's until I showered and worked up my nerve to drive our new car for the first time since we've had it. lol. The only delivery I received was an Edible Arrangement from a good friend. Dessert tonight!

Had it been me, that tree would have been out of the box and lit up. I hope it's as nice as it looked on TV. Sometimes you need to take the time to chat with friends and family. Supper tonight sounds good.
