Yes the moon rocks! Today my hubby says is Apollo Day. Its been 48 years since Buzz Aldrin stepped onto the moon and made history. My hubby has an aerospace engineering degree. This is a very special day to him. He insists we go out to dinner tonight to celebrate. It was quite a feat, us Americans touching down on the moon's surface. I wish I could remember that day in my childhood. He sure can.

So glad you will go out to dinner to celebrate Apollo Day!!! I was on a date with some fellow from high school, and the restaurant had the TV on showing the moon landing. Quite a thrill, the moon-landing that is because I cannot remember the guy with whom I was on the date.

@Corbin5 That's pretty funny. I wonder what Mr. Nameless is doing now?

@sallypup I wish I could remember who he was. He may not have made much of an impression on this world, I am afraid.

@Corbin5 You decided to trust him enough to go on a date- how bad could he be?

I remember watching that on television. I don't remember where we were but it was my dad and me and my sister Sonja and we were in a bowling alley Diner. We were making the drive up from California to Washington state for vacation

@sallypup We were born in Western Australia and have lived all our lives (so far) in the state. We were living in the same area where Skylab came down too.

Everything was told to me. It was fantastic! On July 20, 1969, I was not even born. Do you think that on September 20 of that year, my dear parents, they married
