While I was on my vacation, as many of you know, the was a snowfall in Santiago. The city is not prepared at all for snow, so the old trees have not been pruned and many branches fell on the electric wires causing mayor problems. A big part of the city had no electricity for days and one of my friends had the problem. She was cold (no heater, no electric blanket, no light) and went in the dark to make a hot water bottle for herself. She boiled water in a pot (no electric water heater) under the light of a candle. She placed a funnel in the small hole of the hot water bottle and did not do it right. All the boiling water fell on one of her hands. She has to go to the hospital to get someone to change bandages. She works a lot and has a maid only once a week. Her 2 children (over 40) are good for nothings. I invited her tomorrow for lunch so that she could rest a bit. Some people don´t have any luck with their kids
