Another Hot Car Death

I read in the newspaper about another child's needless death all because of a careless mother. The mother buckled her one year old child in the car while she went into a beauty shop to have her hair done and stayed for six hours. She left the motor running and air conditioning on but the motor stopped sometime during the six hours and the baby died. Can you imagine leaving a child of any age alone in a car for six hours? I can't even imagine leaving a one year alone for half an hour. This is one of the cruelest actions I have heard yet. The salon owner didn't know until she heard the news. She said her shop was child friendly. She even provided toys. If she had had any idea she would have brought the child inside. I thought all parents knew by now never to leave a child in a car but apparently some parents never learn.

Those women don´r deserve to be mothers. And what can a person do during 6 hours at a beauty shop without even going from time to time to take a look at the child?!

@marguicha Neither would I. She might have mental problems but if so I can't see why she would be allowed to have a baby with her.

I've never heard of it taking six hours to fix anyone's hair. I wonder what she had done.

I hate hearing about how some parents can be so blasted dumb. I usually don't talk like that but I feel the parents needs the same treatment. See how they like it.

I hope charges are filed against the mother. She could have bought the child in and left it in a car seat.

She has been charged with murder. I can't imagine why she was in the beauty shop for six hours. The shop owners said she welcomed children and provided toys for them

This is so sad. I can't imagine leaving my kids in a hot car alone for that long. How could a parent do this? I just don't get it and makes me mad that a child had to suffer because of a parent's mistake.

I´ve heard that is very dangerous to leave a child inside a car, especially during hot days, Not only a child, but anyone would die being inside a car for less than an hour

She just wasn't into parenting. I know people can be forgetful when they got kids, but this is just too much. I'm sure she will regret it at some point of her life.

I'm sure she will but why anyone would dream of leaving a child in a car for six hours is horrible.. That was way beyond neglectful. It was murder.

That is a very sad story. Whether in a car or not, I can't imagine anyone leaving a young child alone anywhere for that long.

this breaks my heart :( if'n she didn't wish to bring said young'un to the shop with her, she should'a found daycare. one doesn't accidentally leave their babe'n the car with't runnin'. the fumes 'lone (with the auto sittin' idle) could've done the wee one'n. i bet the shop owner 'twas horrified to learn 'f this news, 'n no doubt'll feel a guilt that doesn't belong to 'er fer years to come. what'n awful way to suffer'n then perish...
